Gianna “Gia” Brooks-Romano

Gia is African American and Italian, born and raised in Fort Greene. She studies communication at a college in New York, works café shifts and makes audio stories. She met Mateo in Children, Youth, and Digital Culture. Their after-class conversations became an open media night for the block. Her first take is usually sharp. She is learning to leave room for a second one.
